Jason Koebel from Propaganda Inc. in St. Louis reached out to me to create an illustration for the retail design of the new U.S. locations launching the popular Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon.

The starting point was an actual street in Busan, Korea, famous for its vibrant street food culture. Using Google Earth, I explored and selected the most characteristic buildings along that street, then recreated and illustrated them in 3D. The final composition combines these architectural elements into a lively urban scene — infused with playful references to Bonchon and, of course, fried chicken.

A truly fun project — and thanks to all the digital research, it felt a bit like taking a short trip to Busan.
