For the German jazz musician HATTLER, I developed this album artwork in collaboration with Karlssonwilker in New York.

My concept started with locating Hattler’s actual house on Google Maps. I then recreated it in 3D and, using a range of techniques, began to deconstruct and reimagine the structure. The house was gradually transformed into an abstract, experimental shape — a process very much in line with Karlssonwilker’s distinctive visual language.

From a wide range of generative experiments, we selected a few final forms that ultimately made it onto the cover.
And to surprise the musicians, we decided to feature the house on the album in a deliberately small scale — a subtle nod to where it all began.
