my friends pete rossi and alfio mazzei founded their studio RM&CO this year and they started with some really beautiful works! one was this job for the glasgow based lable “sona records”. it’s a 2side cover fot the electro act SLAM. because the client liked my quite chair illustration which i’ve made once for the zurich based artist “ian constable” the want to have also such a design. when you listen to the music you can feel why i thought it’s nice to blow those chairs up.

ESPN Magazine asked me to do an map of the USA white some crazy/funny Halls of Fame in it. So this is the end result. Guess everybody liked it but there was this chief in editor who thought it looks more like a poster than an “illustration” which is still confusing me. anyway, i like the colours. :)

i was invited to a pitch for a new music club in zurich. my idea was to create 3d geometric shapes out of the basic colors “rgb” “cymk”. this should visualise the flexibility/variations this club want to reach with his programm and clients- we are everything – everything is what we’ll like to be. so the logo is not a fix logo. it’s like a transformer. every item, from the letterhead to the bar menu should have a private shape (logo). so the recognistion should be the colors- the shape – and the style. not a typeface and not a random icon. unfortunately i did not win this pitch. so the only thing i can do now is post 2 of those shapes here on my fancy blog. but i think i will track this shape thing more. maybe i will build a typeface out of it – once. or maybe i’ll just do some meaningless but cool shirts out of it. does someone know some guys working for the h&m or urban outfitters design departement? call me. i have tons of shapes!
